Hello! I wanted to give you an opportunity to learn a little about me before our session…
I grew up in a small town in the midwest called Morton. It is the pumpkin capital of the world and yes, I am in LOVE with all things pumpkin. I LOVE them!
I am from a large family with 3 sisters and 1 brother and I adore them ALL. Needless to say, there was never a dull moment in our house with so many kids and so much commotion. I miss it!
I have always loved the mountains and the great outdoors, so moving to the NW to marry my childhood sweetheart was a no brainer for me (yes, I said childhood sweetheart… that is another story for another day). We have been here for 11 years total and are raising two amazing children and two big furry 4 leggeds. Small towns are at the core of my being, so landing in Multnomah Village was a perfect match for me. I love my community and feel so honored to be a part of it both socially and business wise.
I received my first camera from my dad in high school and this is what started me on my journey. I then proceeded to head over seas, document my adventures, take a few classes and come full circle to St. Paul, MN, where I finished college with a degree in Elementary Education and minors in Math, Science, Social Justice and Art. I taught for 10 years in various capacities until our second child was born. My father in law gifted me my second slr camera, my first digital slr for the birth of our second child, a gift I could never be more grateful for. It was then and there that I new I had to combine my love of teaching and children with my passion for photography and the arts. Through a lot of hard work and much community support, I feel like I have found my niche in life and truly am passionate about what I do.
I couldn’t do what I do, without you… and for that, I am forever grateful!
