Clothing is a very important part of creating a wonderful portrait. Annie has a style that lends itself to not-so-traditional clothing. Annie feels children look GREAT in bold colors, textures and patterns. Consider
jeans and sweaters, hats or boots, and layers for fall or winter portraits. Sundresses and shorts look great in the summer heat. Two or three outfit changes can ensure a great variety of portraits to choose from.
Annie prefers that you leave the fancy, puffy dresses or stiff looking suits at home because let’s face it, we all know how uncomfortable they are. We want everyone to be happy and comfortable for their session
as it will reflect in their overall spirits.
Families need not match, but look wonderful in outfits that all coordinate. Please wear what makes you smile and what represents your family. Do you walk around on a daily basis wearing the same outfit.. probably not, so I highly encourage you not to wear the same outfits for your session.
Maternity sessions can go in many different directions. We love to see the belly form, after all that is why we are photographing this session. Wear clothing that makes you feel beautiful and unique and please make it
outlines your sweet, precious belly!:).
Newborns and babies usually look best in just a diaper cover, a plain onesie or in nothing at all! Please follow the newborn guide when getting ready for your session. Parents, please have white shirts, jeans or some kind of mellow colored pant ready for your session. Please put a plain white fitted sheet on your bed as well. This makes for great intimate portraits.
Annie is available to help with clothing selection for your session as well. Just ask.
